Davide Passa holds a PhD in English Literatures, Cultures, Language, and Translation (Sapienza University of Rome, in co-tutelle with the University of Silesia in Katowice). He has published articles focusing on the fictional use of sociolects and their translation, with a particular emphasis on fictional gayspeak and drag lingo. His primary research interests include Sociolinguistics, (Audiovisual) Translation Studies, Language and Sexuality Studies, and Corpus Linguistics. Additionally, he teaches English language and culture in public secondary schools.
